Augmented Reality (AR) Provides One-of-a-Kind Experience for All Businesses
DELAND (Dec 16, 2019) – CAPTUM, a first-of-its-kind completely mobile Augmented Reality (AR) app, is excited to announce it has added new free features since its launch in mid-2019.
The CAPTUM app is now making it financially possible for businesses to incorporate AR into their marketing efforts. After downloading the CAPTUM app from the App Store or Google Play, anyone can easily convert a picture, audio file or YouTube-hosted video into an AR sales tool that comes alive when triggered by a pre-set visual target, such as a business card or email. Users can also embed links in AR to let customers access more information, a contact form, or make a purchase.
“With nearly six months under our belt since launching CAPTUM, we wanted to share our plan for new features with our existing and future audiences,” said Neal Krajewski, developer of CAPTUM. “Technology is drastically changing at record speeds and enabling us to capture that momentum through upgrades to the CAPTUM app, proving that this invaluable, free service really is the future of promoting small businesses, non-profits, and educational platforms.”
The future of CAPTUM’s features will include:
- The “scanner” information will be provided, allowing CAPTUM app “developers” to qualify leads beyond quantitative numbers.
- 3-D – Turn a print image into a 3-D model, bringing your customer’s experience to life!
- Geolocations – With GPS enabled on your phone, you can stand in front of a statue, or a house for sale, and see the video or house-tour associated based on geolocation technology.
- Crop image in app – Currently available on Google Play but will be available via the App Store.
The app integrates the real-time use of information in the form of text, graphics, audio, and other virtual enhancements with real-world objects. AR is moving beyond gaming and movies and into industries like manufacturing, healthcare, real estate, and more. The International Data Corporation (IDC), the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets, predicts that worldwide spending on AR and virtual reality (VR) will reach $160 billion in 2023.
The CAPTUM app is an augmented reality (AR) technology that brings everyday images and marketing materials to life. CAPTUM’s AR app works by connecting your images, such as business cards, print ads, portraits, flyers, or posters to virtual objects, videos, animation, or an AR experience.
